Yankey Farms csa
We are excited to announce we are expanding our community supported agriculture program (CSA) from 25 to 100 shares for 2011. Here's how our CSA works. You purchase a share of our 15 week program and we will provide you each week with a box of the best of our produce. This program will allow you access to the freshest fruits, vegetables, and eggs available. Share pickups for summer crops will begin in early July and run for 8 weeks. Then after a short break, share pickups will resume in late September with fall crops and run for 7 weeks.
A share will provide enough produce for a family of 4-6 people. If you have fewer mouths to feed the most cost effective option is finding a friend or neighbor to split a share with you. If you cannot find someone to split a share we are offering a half share that feeds 2-3 people. Expect to find items like sweet corn, tomatoes, peaches, squash, beans, blueberries, cucumbers, plus other favorites during the summer season. Once the fall season starts, look for broccolli, apples, sweet potatoes, pears, greens, winter squash, red rasperries, and other goodies. Yankey Farms supplies the veggies, Croushorn Farms provides the eggs and the wonderful fruit comes from Orr's Orchard. Share pickups will be scheduled at the farm on either Tuesdays or Fridays from 2-7pm or the Great Harvest Bread Co store in Warrenton on either Tuesdays or Fridays from 2-6pm.
2011 CSA full shares cost $600 each and half shares cost $375 each.
